Thomas Oppel has nearly four decades of experience in public service at the local, state and national levels. In addition to running his own communications consulting business, Oppel serves on the Canaan Planning Board and Canaan Economic Development Committee. He has served as Chief of Staff to the Navy Secretary in the Obama Administration, executive vice president at the American Sustainable Business Network and Communications Director and Senior Advisor to former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus.
