My recent book on Building Community: https://buildingcommunity12principles.squarespace.com/
In 1978 I moved to Alstead, NH after discovering the strong sense of community and quality of life here. Patience Stoddard, my wife and I have two grown children, Daniel and Allison. We live on a homestead in Alstead with vegetable gardens, a sugar house and a small vineyard. I practiced a career in engineering, environmental sciences, public administration, and teaching during my 40-year career. I currently teach woodworking to kids and adults, help manage the historic water-power Chase’s Mill, and serve on community boards.
Top Priorities
- Protect Our Rights … including woman’s right to choose and stand up against legislation that undermines our freedoms and divides our communities.
- Support Our Communities….including helping local government in their critical climate change and conservation work, work towards more housing that is affordable, and support additional state funding for public schools to hold down local property taxes.
- Promote Democracy… including making it easier for all citizens to vote (and confront those making false claims of voter fraud).
